Rabbi Moshe Gordon

Rabbi GordonR' Gordon has been a popular name in Israeli chinuch for close to two decades.  R' Gordon is known for his clear, comprehensive analytical shiurim, warmth, selfless devotion to talmidim, penetrating sichot, and good, solid advice.

R' Gordon serves as  a Posek Halacha for  many of the Moshavim in the Harei Yehudah region, with a reputation as a Rav with a very sensitive, human touch.

Prior to making Aliyah, R' Gordon served as a Rebbe in Yeshiva Torah MiTzion in Great Neck, N.Y. for three years.

Many throughout the States recognize R' Gordon from his capacity as the senior Rebbe in the NCSY Summer Kollel for many years (18 plus) and as Assistant Director at Camp NCSY Sports.

R' Gordon is a graduate of Yeshiva College, as well as a Musmach of RIETS. While in YU, R' Gordon studied under Rav Michael Rosensweig and Rav Herschel Schachter. After receiving semicha from RIETS, R' Gordon studied in the Kollel Avreichim of Yeshiva Darchei Torah (Far Rockaway, N.Y.) under Rav Feivel Cohen, from whom he received an additional semicha.

 

Rabbi Shaya Greenwald

Rabbi GreenwaldR' Shaya Greenwald is a veritable legend in the Torah world today. In his many years of learning in YU and teaching in MTA and Morasha Kollel, he was the source of inspiration and mentor for many of the current Roshei Yeshiva in YU, High School principals, Rabbeim, Rabanim, as well as community leaders.

R' Greenwald has served as the Rebbe for the top level Shana Bet Shiur in Yeshivat Ohr Yerushalayim for 14 years, where his talmidim benefited from his breadth of knowledge, clear presentations, admirable personality, and sound guidance.

For many years, R' Greenwald has been the summer Rabbi in the Young Israel of Riverdale (substituting for Rav Mordechai Willig).

Prior to his Aliyah, R' Greenwald taught Bekius and Halacha for five years in the Mesivta of Yeshiva Shaar HaTorah (Kew Gardens, N.Y.).

R' Greenwald is a graduate of Yeshiva College, as well as a Musmach of RIETS. In YU, R' Greenwald studied under Rav Herschel Schacter and Rav Mordechai Willig. After receiving Semicha, Rabbi Greenwald entered the Kollel L'Horaah of RIETS led by HaRav Nisson Alpert zt"l, successfully completing its course of study.

 R' Greenwald was amongst the early members of the Kollel Elyon in YU. Following the Kollel Elyon, R' Greenwald learned in the Kollel of Yeshiva Shaar HaTorah, enjoying a close relationship with Rav Zelik Epstein zt"l.

 

Rabbi Yeshai Koenigsberg

In his over 20 years of teaching in Israel, R’ Yeshai Koenigsberg has become a beloved Rebbe of hundreds of Talmidim. R’ Koenigsberg has taught a wide range of topics; Gemara B’Iyun & Bekiyus, Halacha, Machshava and Mussar. A hallmark of his inimitable style is infusing passion and enthusiasm in to the experience of Limud HaTorah.

R’ Koenigsberg is a graduate of Skokie Yeshiva, Yeshivat Sha’alvim, and Ner Yisrael.  In Ner Yisrael he studied under HaGaon R’ Yaakov Yitzchak Ruderman and HaGaon R’ Yaakov Weinberg Zt”L. R’ Koenigsberg also merited to learn under R’ Nachum Partzoviz Zt”l in the Mir Yeshiva and studied in various Kollelim in Yerushalayim. While in Ner Yisrael, R’ Koenigsberg attended Johns Hopkins University and earned a Master’s  Degree in Computer Science.

Before assuming the position of Mashgiach at Yishrei Lev, R’ Koenigsberg was the Shana Bet Coordinator in Yeshivat Ohr Yerushalayim. He has developed many long term relationships with the students he guided and advised.  His profound influence on his Talmidim has gained him the respect of myriad high school principals and post Israel Yeshiva and college programs.

Yishrei Lev’s Talmidim are treated to the constant caring and energy that R’ Koenigsberg brings to his role as Mashgiach Ruchani. In the Beis Medrash he is always “talking in Learning” with Talmidim, developing their textual and analytical skills. He reaches out to all students to ensure that their stay in Yeshiva is both productive and enjoyable. The Talmidim look forward to his challenging Sichot which expound upon the dynamics of Avodas HaShem and personal growth.

 

Rabbi Yechiel Cohen

Ra"m B'Iyun



Rabbi Cohen exposes his Talmidim to the spiritual and intellectual enjoyment of rigorous in-depth analysis of the Gemara in his first-level Iyun Shiur. Rabbi Cohen is an alumnus of YU, and a Musmach of R.I.E.T.S. During his post-Semicha years of learning, he studied in various Israeli Yeshivot, amongst them Yeshivat Pachad Yitzchak, Mir, and the Yishrei Lev Kollel. He has always been a magnet for students interested in sound guidance in learning and life issues.










 

Rabbi Mickey Ellman

Ra"m Bekiyus and Av Bayit

Rabbi Mickey EllmanRabbi Mickey Ellman has been actively involved with and well known in high school education for the past fourteen years. For four summers, he has worked as a member of the upper administration in NCSY Kollel, learning chinuch techniques from top educators in the Israeli Yeshivos. Through NCSY Kollel, he has had the ability to touch the lives of many young, budding scholars.

Rabbi Ellman studied at Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh, Yeshiva University, the Mir Yeshiva. In Yeshiva University, he served as Rav Adler’s shiur assistant for two years giving chazara shiurim and serving as a Shoel U’meshiv for the shiur. He has also been a member of the Aish Hatorah Kollel Elyon under the guidance of the acclaimed Rav Efraim Kirschenbaum.

Rabbi Ellman is a Musmach of Yeshiva University as well as from Yeshivas Aish Hatorah. He received his BA from YU in psychology and is currently working on the practicum of his Masters in Jewish Education from the Azrielli School of Education.

Our students enthusiastically participate in Rabbi Elman's shiurim in Shev Shmeissa and Minchas Chinuch and enjoy his engaging style.

  

 

Rabbi Menachem Nissel

Ra"m Machshava 

Rabbi NisselRabbi Nissel has been a beloved Rebbe for over twenty years in various Yeshivot and seminaries such as Ohr Somayach, Ohr Yerushalayim and Torat Shraga.

He is a renowned speaker and author who has inspired thousands throughout the world. His ability to bring lofty concepts down to daily life spiced with British humor make his lectures tremendously popular.

His articles and letters are widely published and he is the author of the highly acclaimed Rigshei Lev - Women in Tefila (Targum / Feldheim 2001) and Jerusalem Jems (Targum 2002).

He is a senior lecturer for "Ner LeElef - World Center for Jewish Leadership Training and Community Outreach".

He is the Rabbinic Resource for the National Council of Synagogue Youth (NCSY), the youth branch of the Orthodox Union.

Rabbi Nissel is a musmach of the Itri and Mishkan Hatorah Yeshivas and is a talmid of Rav Shlomo Volbe zt"l and Rav Moshe Shapiro shlit"a.

He has an MBA from the London Business School.

Rabbi Nissel will expose our students to the field of Machshava and philosophy, mesmerize the talmidim with the breadth of his knowledge as well as enable them to deepen their own personal experience of Avodas HaShem.

 

 

Rabbi Daniel Dyckman

Ra"m- Machshava

  

Rabbi Dyckman brings a very unique perspective and flavor to Yishrei Lev. Educated in Yeshivas Beis Avraham of Slonim as well as Yeshivas Brisk Yerushalayim (Rav A.Y. Soloveitchik), he married in to the family of the famed Slonimer Rebbe (the “Nesivos Shalom”) and has been a Rebbe in the Slonim Yeshiva Ketana for over a decade. Both of those worlds, Brisk and Slonim, come together in Rabbi Dyckman’s Shiurim in Pirkei Avos in Yishrei Lev. He challenges our Talmidim to be critical thinkers and to strive to deepen their understanding of their Torah lives.










 

 

Rabbi Menachem Deutch

Ra"m- Ramban and Sefas Emmes

Rabbi Menachem Deutch has served for 20 years as a Ra"m in Yeshiva B'eer HaTorah in Bayit V'Gan (an Israeli Yeshiva Gedola) in addition to being the Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Ohr Torah (an Israeli Yeshiva High School) in Beit Shemesh.

Rabbi Deutch is an alumnus of Yeshiva Kol Torah, where he was a student of HaGaon R' Shlomo Zalman Auerbach ZT"L. While studying in Kol Torah he was influenced by the Mussar Discourses of the Mashgiach, HaRav Gedalya Eisman. 

Rabbi Deutch continued his studies in the Yeshivos of Ponevitch and Mir, where he was trained in conceptual analysis (Lomdus) by the renowned HaRav Shmuel Rozovsky and HaRav Nachum Partzovitz, ZT"L.

Following these formative years Rabbi Deutch studied for Semicha in Kollel Kol Yaakov and was ordained by the Rishon L'Tziyon, HaRav Ovadya Yosef and the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, HaRav Betzalel Jolty.

Rabbi Duetch's teaching style and methods have been influenced by these giants of Torah and he strives to emulate their examples to his talmidim.

In addition to his regular shiurim in Gemara, he teaches Ramban Al HaTorah, and is recognized as an authority in the writings of the Ramban.

Rabbi Deutch will train our students how to properly analyze the text of the Ramban in order to gain maximum understanding of this major commentary, as well as emphasizing the philosophical implications of the Ramban's works. Additionally, Rabbi Deutch will teach the writings of the Sefas Emes and give the talmidim a proper derech in learning this classic work of Chassidic Thought.
